The University of Peloponnese will organize an Arab League Conference from December 15th to 18th. It will be held in Korinthos and our College will proudly take part with a small delegation.
The Arab League was established in 1945. It has 22 members: Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.
The Arab League has played a role in shaping school curricula, advancing the role of women in the Arab societies, promoting child welfare, encouraging youth and sports programs, preserving Arab cultural heritage, and fostering cultural exchanges between the member states.
Students will have the opportunity to represent an Arab League Country and support the country’s policy. Each member state has only one vote in the League Council, while decisions are binding only for those states that have voted for them.
It is an excellent opportunity for young students to be introduced to new fields and gain new experiences.
